VVaves of VVagner is a symphonic length version of the prelude of Richard Wagner's Das Rheingold, the opening opera to his Ring cycle tetralogy. That kernel of sound becomes a blissful, ambient trip downstream, as the track cycles and weaves.

Wagner, a problematic figure in the music and history, becomes one of the first composers to create a vision of pure ambience in music, one that does not lose the context of his divisive nature, but that opens his sound world through to an even wider spectrum of harmony.
